This exploratory study investigates public–academic partnerships aiming to enhance youth mental health outcomes. The findings suggest that aligned purpose formulation, mutual benefits, leadership representation, trust, and 'issue crystallization' contribute to sustained partnerships among public care agencies, emphasizing the significance of building trust and adapting partnership agendas.
